Did you know that I struggled with Bulimia in high school and my early college years?  
 
It was a very tough time in my life. A time when I did not love myself on the inside and took it out physically on my body. The thing is that even when I lost weight I was still not happy! I thought that having this perfect little body would bring me happiness and all it brought me was frustrations and sadness. My body was never good enough. It wasn't until I met my husband, who loved me unconditionally, and gave it all to GOD that my symptoms started to fade. I learned to truly love myself on the inside, the person that is here today to inspire you and teach you that you are enough. Your body does not determine your happiness. As I searched for a coach for this bikini competition, it was very important to me to find someone that could assist me with a healthy prep. Someone that I could TRUST, and would not lead me to metabolic damage that I took years to repair. After having a chat on the stepmill I knew that my coach was the perfect fit! I have had moments of struggle, especially during the bulking period ( mind trip watching your body get bigger and bigger with no cheats for 8 weeks) but, not one moment did thoughts of restriction or binging flood into my mind. This is a HUGE victory for me!! This competition is not only about making on that stage but, the fact that I overcame so many unhealthy ways in my past. Your past does not define you! The past serves us with lessons and reminders. The past is a path that has lead us to this moment. No matter what has come your way, you can decide, in this instant, that you are going to live the life you want to live. You can decide that you can and will live a joyful life filled with love. Grab my hand to show you the way. There is light on darkened days.
