ALMOND BUTTER DARK CHOCOLATE BARK
Ingredients:
1 cup raw almonds
1/8 cup honey
Dash of sea salt
1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tbsp maple syrup
1 bar of 70% dark chocolate
Method:
1. Melt the chocolate in a sauce pan or chop and melt using the microwave for 2-3 minutes in 60 seconds intervals each. Or use a double broiler to ensure it won't burn.
2. After melting the dark chocolate pour half of it on top of a parchment paper, spread it thinly around 1/4-inch.
Set aside to set.
3. While the chocolate hardens, roast the almonts by spreading the almonds over a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the maple syrup and sea salt over it till evenly coated by massaging the almonds. Make sure the almonds are evenly spread to ensure equal roasting.
4. Broil the almonds over medium or low heat. This is quick, 4-5 minutes. It should be golden brown when done.
5. Once cooled, add them to the processor, add in the vegetable oil and maple syrup and process till clumps form and you can form patties from it. Add this on top of the hardened chocolate.
6. Now warm up the remainder of the dark chocolate and pour on top of the almond layer evenly. Make sure to cover the whole almond patty layer. Add in the freezer to harden!
