Green Warrior Protein Smoothie
In need of a smoothie that is super charged and super packed with energy boosters? This recipe delivers. It contains superfoods that you wouldn't imagine blend so well!
Nutritional Benefits:
Mango - this is rich in Vitamin C, Fiber, beta-catorene.
Virgin Coconut oil- this has antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties and is a metabolism booster!
Kale - super rich in folate, vitamin C, Calcium, Iron and has anti-inflammatory properties and contains great amount of omega-3 fatty acids.
Cucumber - promotes healthy digestive track, prevents water retention and packed with minerals, vitamins and electrolytes!
Hulled hemp seeds - amazing source of protein and is high in fiber
Apple - source of fiber and vitamin C, helps balance blood sugar and boosts digestion and with anti-inflammatory properties
Celery - rich in fibre and vitamin B
Grapefruit - rich in Vitamin C and is a detoxifier
Ingredients:
1 cup kale, stems off
1/2 cup of fresh red grapefruit juice
1 cup chopped cucumber
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 sweet apple, cored and chopped
3 tbsp of hemp hearts
1/4 cup mangoes
mint leaves
1/2 tbsp of virgin coconut oil
ice cubes
How to do it:
1. Get the juice from the large red grapefruit.
2. 1/2 of it must be added to the blender.
3. Add the kale, apple, cucumber, celery, hemp seeds, mango, mint, virgin coconut oil and ice on the blender and then blend till super smooth or your desired consistency is achieved. Add water depending on your liking.
4. Pour into your glass and enjoy!
