Healthy Banana Split With Clean Eating Sauce recipe




Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup frozen Green Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 tbsp chopped roasted almonds
  • 1 tbsp clean eating chocolate sauce


Ingredients for the chocolate sauce:

  • 1 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 1 cup light coconut milk


Method:

  • Prepare your bowl that is shaped like a boat! 
  • Slice your bananas and position it into the bowl.
  • Add the berries in the middle of the banana.
  • Combine yogurt, maple syrup and vanilla. Spread it on top of the berries!
  • Sprinkle with almonds and clean eating chocolate sauce!

Method for the chocolate sauce:

In a saucepan, combine all ingredients except for the coconut milk. Simmer it over medium eat then gradually add in the coconut milk. Whisk till it is smooth and thick. Remove from heat once you have achieve desired consistency then place in refrigerator to cool down before use.
